Currently, Southern University at Shreveport offers:
ten (10) Associate of Applied Science degrees
one (1) Associate of Arts degree
seven (7) Associate of Science degrees
one (1) Associate of General Studies degree
Several concentrations are offered in the Associate of Arts (Louisiana Transfer), Associate of Science (Louisiana Transfer), and Associate of General Studies degree programs. Additionally, Southern University at Shreveport offers eighteen (18) Certificate of Technical Studies, five (5) Certificate of Applied Science, and two (2) Technical Diplomas. Continuing Education Non-Credit programs are offered for Practical Nursing and Nursing Assistant.
Programs are offered online and at three (3) academic centers conveniently located throughout the Shreveport community to meet the needs of our students.

Environment
The primary mission of the Southern University at Shreveport, Office of Student Life is to provide services and promote activities that are responsive to the physical, social, recreational, and educational development of the students, faculty and alumni through programs and services conducted by members and committees of the Office of Student Life. The Office of Student Life adheres to a philosophy that attempts to meet students at respective developmental stages and assist them in their personal goals, and spiritual, physical, career, social, and academic growth. Therefore, the Office of Student Life delivers programs, services and activities in order for students to learn better communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; experience enhanced self-esteem through self-appraisal and values clarification; experience healthy life styles, selection of career goals, and independence; and learn social responsibility through service.
Athletics
At present, intercollegiate basketball for men and women is offered to students through the Louisiana Athletic Association of 12 Community Colleges Conference (LAACC).
